Tilipan

Our story

Rooted in nature, made for the table.

Tilipan began with a simple idea: that something used for a single meal shouldn't cost the earth a thousand years. So we make tableware the way nature already makes it — and let it return the same way.

Fallen, not felled

Every few weeks an areca palm sheds a leaf sheath that drops to the forest floor. We collect those — and only those. No tree is ever cut, and nothing is farmed on our behalf.

Washed in water

Each sheath is cleaned with nothing but water and sun. No bleach, no dye, no chemical bath, and no plastic or wax coating — ever.

Shaped by heat

We press the clean leaf in a heated steel mould. Heat and pressure alone give every plate its rigidity, its sealed surface and its one-of-a-kind grain.

Back to the earth

Set your table, serve the meal, then compost the ware. In 60–90 days it returns to soil as nutrients — leaving the earth a little richer than we found it.

The company

To us, a beautiful table and a healthy planet are the same project.

Tilipan is a brand of Taitil Global Inc.. We design the range and hold the quality standard, working with the growers and pressers who collect and shape every leaf — then ship it to hosts, caterers and conscious kitchens worldwide, retail on Amazon and by the case direct.
