Good to know

Frequently asked

Are bagasse plates really compostable?

Yes — bagasse plates are made from natural plant fibre with no plastic, wax, PFAS or chemical coating, so they break down in a home compost in roughly 60–90 days and in a commercial facility far faster.

Are they microwave and freezer safe?

They are. You can microwave them for short bursts and store them in the freezer — the material holds its shape from below freezing up to hot-serving temperatures.

Do they leak with oily or saucy food?

No. The fibre is naturally dense and water- and oil-resistant, so curries, dressings and juices stay put without any synthetic liner.

Can I order in bulk for an event or business?

Yes — we supply caterers, venues and brands by the case and pallet. Request bulk pricing and we'll come back with sizes, case quantities and a quote.
